# Data Security

> Learn how Thunder protects your data with enterprise-grade security measures.

At Thunder, protecting our customers' data is our top priority. We have implemented comprehensive measures to safeguard sensitive information and maintain the highest standards of security.

## Encryption

**At rest:** Your data is stored on dedicated infrastructure within Amazon Web Services (AWS). All customer data is encrypted at rest.

**In transit:** All data transmission occurs over secure channels using TLS encryption. No unencrypted connections are permitted.

## AI Data Processing

To generate insights, we send conversation data to AI providers (OpenAI and Anthropic) for analysis. We have **Zero Data Retention (ZDR) agreements** with both providers, which means:

* Your data is processed in real-time and immediately discarded
* No conversation data is stored by OpenAI or Anthropic
* Your data is never used to train their models

Your conversation data only persists on our infrastructure—third-party AI providers process it transiently and retain nothing.

## Privacy Assurance

We take customer privacy seriously:

* We do not train models on your data
* We do not sell your data to third parties
* Your data stays on our infrastructure
